Collins Seafoods Joins the Frozen at Sea Fillets Association (FASFA)

Collins Seafoods is pleased to announce that we are now a member of the Frozen at Sea Fillets Association (FASFA), a leading UK trade body representing the frozen-at-sea fish sector.

This milestone reflects our continued commitment to supplying high-quality, responsibly sourced frozen seafood to customers across the UK.

Supporting Quality in Frozen at Sea Fish

Frozen-at-sea fish is widely recognised as one of the most effective ways to preserve freshness. By filleting and freezing fish within hours of catch, the process locks in flavour, texture, and nutritional value—delivering consistent quality that buyers can rely on.

As a member of FASFA, Collins Seafoods joins a network of like-minded businesses dedicated to maintaining these high standards across the seafood supply chain.

Strengthening Trust and Industry Collaboration

Membership of FASFA not only reinforces our commitment to quality and traceability, but also connects us more closely with key industry conversations around sustainability, regulation, and best practice.

FASFA Executive Director, Julie Waites, commented:
“I am pleased to be working more closely with Collins Seafoods, who are part of the Samherji Group. It will be great to work with Craig and the team, and to represent them as a FASFA member at the various forums and working groups I attend, as well as through the marketing and promotional work we do.”

Craig English, Managing Director of Collins Seafoods, added:
“I’m delighted that Collins Seafoods is joining FASFA. Julie has a wealth of industry knowledge and experience, and I’m sure it will be a great partnership.”

What This Means for Our Customers

For our customers, this membership provides added confidence. Whether you’re sourcing frozen at sea fillets in volume or looking for a dependable UK seafood supplier, our involvement with FASFA underlines our focus on consistency, transparency, and long-term reliability.

Looking Ahead

Joining the Frozen at Sea Fillets Association is an important step in strengthening our position within the UK seafood industry. We look forward to working alongside other members, contributing to the sector, and continuing to deliver the high standards our customers expect from Collins Seafoods.
