Goodbye Paul!
Sadly, we are saying goodbye to Collins Seafoods’ longest serving member of staff – driver, Paul McCabe.
Paul joined the Collins Seafoods team as a driver back in November 1987 and has been with the company ever since. During his time at Collins, Paul has met many people and seen many changes, not just at Collins Seafoods but within the industry too. He was only 20 years old when he came to work for Richard Collins and his loyalty and work ethic did not go unnoticed.
Richard said “Paul is one of the best lads I ever employed. He would have the busiest round every day and would never complain, he would just get on with it. He worked for the company for over 30 years and was still as loyal as ever. I wish him and his family all the best for the future.”
Craig, our Managing Director, has worked with Paul for many years. On Paul’s departure, Craig said “We’re all really sad to see Paul leave but we understand that he wants a fresh challenge. He has been at Collins Seafoods for over 30 years and in that time, he has built some fantastic relationships with both staff and customers, many of whom will miss him.
Paul has given great service to us and has been a credit to the company and, more importantly, his family. We all wish him the very best of luck for the future.”
We asked Paul if he would like to say a few words, he commented “I have enjoyed my time at Collins, I have met some lovely people and enjoyed being out on the road. Unfortunately, as I’m getting older, I’m unable to lift and carry things the way I could in my younger days, so now is the time to move on to pastures new.”
We are all going to miss Paul and I am sure all our customers will join us in wishing him and his family all the best for the future!
Good luck Paul!
