We are absolutely thrilled to share some incredible news — we’ve been named Supplier of the Year at the 2026 National Fish and Chip Awards!

At Collins Seafoods, we are genuinely elated, immensely proud and deeply thankful to receive this recognition from one of the most respected events in the fish and chips industry. This award is a celebration of the hard work, passion and dedication that every member of our team brings to the fish and chip trade, day in and day out.

For over 45 years, we have been committed to supplying premium Frozen at Sea fish to fish and chip shops across the UK. To have that commitment recognised on a national stage is a moment that means a great deal to us.

A Huge Thank You to the Fish and Chips Community

First and foremost, we want to say thank you.

Thank you to our loyal customers who trust us to supply the fish that sits at the heart of their fish and chips offering. Thank you to our partners who support us across every part of the supply chain. And thank you to the wider fish and chips community for continuing to uphold the standards that make this industry so special.

We are incredibly proud to work alongside so many outstanding fish and chip operators. Your dedication inspires us to continually raise our own standards and deliver the consistency and quality your businesses rely on.

We would also like to thank the National Federation of Fish Fryers for hosting such a fantastic celebration of excellence within the fish and chips industry. The National Fish and Chip Awards shine a spotlight on the very best our sector has to offer, and we are honoured to be recognised among them.

Quality at the Core of Everything We Do

At Collins Seafoods, quality has always come first. Our Frozen at Sea fish is processed and frozen within six hours of being caught, locking in freshness, flavour and texture at its peak. This ensures that fish and chip shops receive a product that performs consistently and delivers the high standards customers expect.

Consistency is everything in fish and chips. Every portion served reflects on the reputation of the shop. That is why we remain relentless in our focus on sourcing, handling and delivering premium whitefish that meets the expectations of this proud industry.

Being named Supplier of the Year reinforces our belief that doing things the right way — without compromise — truly matters.

Responsible Sourcing for the Future of Fish and Chips

We are equally proud of our commitment to sustainability. Our fleet is fully MSC-certified, providing complete traceability and responsible sourcing from sea to shop.

As part of Seagold Limited, owned by Samherji, we operate within rigorous environmental standards designed to protect fish stocks and safeguard the long-term future of our oceans.

Fish and chips is an iconic British dish, and we believe it is our responsibility to help protect its future by supporting sustainable fishing practices today.

Proud of Our Team

This award belongs to our people.

Every single person at Collins Seafoods plays a vital role in delivering the service and reliability our customers depend on. Their hard work, professionalism and commitment to excellence are what make achievements like this possible.

Craig English, Managing Director of Collins Seafoods, said:

“We’re absolutely delighted to have been named Supplier of the Year at the National Fish and Chip Awards 2026. I’d like to pay tribute to all of my colleagues at Collins Seafoods who’ve made this award possible. Any business is only as good as its staff, and I’m proud to say that we have some of the very best in the industry, all dedicated to giving our customers the highest levels of service.

To be shortlisted alongside respected businesses such as Middleton Foods, V.A. Whitley and Isle of Ely Produce demonstrates the strength within this category, and we’re proud to be recognised among them.”

Winning Supplier of the Year at the 2026 National Fish and Chip Awards is a milestone moment for us — but it is also motivation. We remain as focused as ever on delivering premium Frozen at Sea fish, maintaining responsible sourcing and providing dependable support to fish and chip shops across the UK.
